This 5yr MGP 95% rye bottled at 116.02 proof from Stellum is the spiciest, maltiest MGP I’ve tasted in a long time. Nose is fairly muted with some light florals and lemon. But on the palate this thing EXPLODES! Classic MGP rye spice with mint, cinnamon, lemon, but with the added bonus of malt. Combine a really good Stranahan’s Snowflake release with a 10yr barrel strength MGP, and that’s what I’m talking about, a complete and whole whiskey with the MAXIMUM amount of flavor.
