Goose Island BCS Barleywine finished in Old Fitz Barrels

This reserve afforded us a remarkable opportunity to highlight the subtle nuances found only in 14-year, 16-year and 17- year-old bourbon barrels. Bringing back our classic English-style Barleywine for the first time since 2018, we knew this was going to be something special. Our TwoYear Barleywine Reserve evokes the rich intricacies from that of Old Fitzgerald’s Bottled-In-Bond series for a velvety taste of rich malt, entwined with notes of toffee, cherry, fig, and almond.

Goose Island Coffee Stout

For the first time since 2017, we are bringing back a coffee variant in partnership with our friends & neighbors Intelligentsia Coffee. This coffee is called Turihamwe, which means “together” in Kirundi, and is a perfect tribute to all the hands that go into making it.

Goose Island BCS Sir Isaac’s Stout

For years, brewers at Goose Island have brainstormed ways to incorporate the subtle flavors of figs into Bourbon County Stout. This year, members of the Goose Island E- commerce team, Melissa Alleguez and Ryan Hubona, crafted a recipe inspired by Melissa’s childhood memories of stealing fig cookies out of her grandma’s cookie jar during her summers on Lake Michigan.

Goose Island BCS Biscotti

At Goose Island, we believe ideas and inspiration can come from anyone in the Goose family, and our Biscotti Stout is a perfect example that came from our very own HR team. Inspired by the Italian desserts of her childhood, our People Manager Jill Cerone, dreamed up this variant after grabbing a box of chocolatedipped biscotti from her cabinet. Working with the brewing team, Jill brought the flavors to life with notes of anise, marzipan, cocoa and buttered toffee. These ingredients showcase and compliment flavors already found in our Bourbon County Stout and adds strong notes of nostalgia from any Nonna’s kitchen.

Goose Island BCS Original

Thirty years after crafting the very first bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout, we’ve learned that to have the best beer, you start with the best ingredients . Barrels are such an important ingredient, and we continue to use only the best our friends on the bourbon trail have to offer. 2022 Original Bourbon County Brand Stout is aged in a mix of freshly emptied bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill and Wild Turkey distilleries. Barrel-aged for an average of 12 months, the Original Bourbon County Stout boasts deeply developed flavors of fudge, vanilla and caramel with a rich, decadent mouthfeel.
