Mellow Corn Bottled in Bond Straight Corn Whiskey

Buttercream frosting, sweet malt, and floral, like a 10yr bourbon barrel only single malt. On the palate, creamy corn, lots of cereal notes and sweetness, Kellog’s Frosted Flakes with malt and vanilla to finish. If you’re a scotch drinker, you’ll love Mellow Corn and recognize many of the barrel characteristics at play.

Crown Royal Hand Selected Barrel 103 Proof

Crown Royal uses five CORE whiskies out of over 50 to create it’s blend. ONE of them, and perhaps the most flavorful is the Coffey rye, so named after the speical column still it is distilled in. It’s been a few years since a new release of Crown single barrel, but we happened to get our hands on this one, bottled at a standard 103 proof, with FLAVORFUL Canadian is a show stopper. Creamy vanilla and gentle spice on the nose. Perfumed grain note with apples and a touch of floral. On the palate, rich, juicy savory rye notes with more floral and vanilla custard emerging. This is a peak inside the flavors that make Crown Royal so good!

Barrell Bourbon Single Barrel Z5WI 8yrs 9 mos – 109.64 proof

100% Indiana distilled which means this is 21% MGP mashbill at 8yrs, 9months old at barrel proof, which you just don’t see much of these days. Initial hit of cinnamon and clove. On the palate a warming butterscotch bomb with lemon curd and some assorted citrus emerging. The finish is soft vanilla. This is like a yankee candle in a glass. Perfect for the holidays.

Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond

Big herbal tea and mint chapstick on the nose, toasted oak, and cinnamon toast. On the palate, a total fruit bomb, pleasing citrus with some grapefruit and a touch of vanilla ice cream. BIB for the win. This one is totally overlooked compared to 1920.

Digits by Scotty Pippen

Fresh corn mash, light woodsy aroma, tropical fruit, and some cinnamon spice notes. On the palate, coke classic, fresh cut hay, sweet corn and biscuits. Suprisingly sweet, balanced, and drinkable. Soft and smooth overall, perfect for a cigar!

Rebel 5yr 120 Proof Wheated Single Barrel

Barreled on 8/17/17 and bottled at 120 proof, Rebel or Rebel Yell as it was once referred to has long been a value play by Luxco in the Wheated bourbon area, and this single barrel program is no exception. Sporting a 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley mashbill, the unusually high proportion of wheat imparts a lingering fruitiness which stays sweet despite the stronger oak notes which intervene throughout. Noses like a sweet Canadian vanilla bomb with tropical fruit, and mannered oak. On the palate, exceptionally flavored bursting with red fruit, oranges, and lots of oak. I hate to say it, but this whiskey is STRONG, and I LOVE IT!

Baker’s 7yr Bourbon

Big, dark, fudgy, and delicious, Baker’s is the ALL star of the Jim Beam Small Batch collection. Benchmarked at 7yrs and 107 proof EXACTLY with Weller Antique Baker’s offers up something entirely different, a big, spicy, chocolate orange smashed into walnuts, toffee, caramel, and a big ole bearclaw of spice across the face.
